This is a superb Oil on Board by Cecil Maguire (1930-2020) - Depicting a scene from Roundstone on the occasion of Corpus Christi. The painting is signed lower left and nicely framed. Maguire always shows a passion for the West of Ireland capturing scenes of Connemara landscapes, harbours, village scenes and horse fairs. His work is in such collections as The United Nations Headquarters, New York and The Ulster Museum, Belfast. He won the RUA Perpetual Gold Medal in 1993.
